• Frequently Asked Questions

  • Training is a very personal thing for a lot of people, myself included, and sometimes there's nothing more daunting than biting the bullet and embarking on a training course without asking a few simple questions beforehand. I am happy to answer any and all queries if you hit "Get In Touch" and send me a note, but for those more frequently asked questions, I've compiled a set of answers below.

General Questions

Where are you located?

The users of SQL Server are spread far and wide and therefore we like to travel in order to accommodate and run training sessions in several cities around the country.

More details can be found on the Locations tab.

Can you offer Microsoft Certification?

We share our facilities with a local business school who provide us with the use of their Pearson Vue exam room.

Therefore we can offer the chance to take your certification exam there and then at the end of your course if you so wish.

Do you provide accommodation?

We do not provide accommodation directly ourselves, but we do have a Holiday Inn just a 5 min walk from our training facilities that we highly recommend.

More details of this can be found on the Location tab.

Are all materials provided?

We will provide you with all course material, slide printouts, and demonstration code in order to get the most from our courses.

Any ad-hoc material transpiring during the course will also be provided after the event.

Do you offer on-site training?

We are happy to arrange for on-site training to take place.  Simply drop us an email and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Likewise, we are also happy to customize our training to suit your precise needs in order to ensure you get the best value for money.

Do I need a laptop?

A laptop or equivalent is not required.  All scripts will be provided after the modules themselves for you to test in your own time.

In general you will not be able to keep up with the course material as efficiently if you have a laptop with you.

What is the dress code?

We like to keep things feeling a little more casual and as such the course is completely informal, therefore feel free to dress accordingly.

However, please note that we only use air conditioned facilities which can get a little chilly and therefore you may need an extra layer just in case.

  • Would you like to discuss your training requirements with me?

I'm always happy to help so, whatever your question, simply give me a call or send me a message and I'll get back to you as quickly as possible.
